Pionier Meat Market Ortoonville, Minnesota
Great Meat market at the head waters of the Minnesota river. Fresh cuts meats from local stock. What you must try is the beef sticks smoked and aged right here in Ortonville Minnesota the beef jerky is some of the greatest I have ever had. I will be back in the AM to get some more Beef sticks for the road ( I finished the ones I got tonight).

Frieda's Cafe Willmar, Minesota
Frieda's Frieda's Frieda's what more can I say this is the kind of place your Grandpa talked about. Its a step back in time the food is Great most homemade. The prices are from way back 1.19 for desert, $1.19 for cup of homemade soup, just over $2.00 for a thick Meatloaf sammy. all this and the help was the greatest. I sat down, ordered, received my soup then the sammy, downed it all while still trying to check in on foursquare, paid and walked out in about the time it took to read this. This is truly down home Fiend Frieda's every time your in Willmar Minnesota. If you are there for the huge stacks of pancakes 3 for under $3.00 ask for 5 and try to beat the fastest time to inhale the stack of 5 in 1:27sec. the waitress said she was there when it happened. Good luck on the stack and every thing else Frieda's serves.
Benson Bakery Benson Minnesota
80 years in the same family the Benson Minnesota bakery is going strong at 3 in the afternoon bakers are still stocking the shelf's and shipping bakery fresh bread and goodies to the area. I just can't pass buy a small town Bakery and this one is well Worth the stop. They now have Breakfast and lunch service. I had to try (on recommendation) the "Rock n Rolls" a small perfect sized Cinnamon roll with a nice glaze. The other local choice is the caramel croissant. there were allot of other suggestions but get here early for them they go quick. The Benson Bakery is A Great Bakery buy all means.

EL Tapatio Willmar, Minnesota
Mexican in Central Minnesota? Who would of thought. This Great place in Willmar, Minnesota is better then all the El Loros and El Toros in the Minneapolis area. I had #77 Carnetas with corn tortillas comes with fresh warm chips and a carafe of salsa. The special pork was done to perfection seasoned just right and no fat. guac was great and the tortillas tasted home made. the decor was awesome. the service was great El Tapatio was a great place

Dells Pub Eldridge Iowa

Dells pub on the corner in Eldridge IA, A Great place to eat or drink. I got here a bit late for the lunch specials and was promptly told this when the nicest older server ever waiting on me. The specials were Meat loaf, or Hot beef. Well the new suggestion was a grilled pork tenderloin sandwich HAD to have one $3.95 Then add the home made Fries less the $7.00. The tenderloin was just that very tender and very large. This is a great place for lunch but it looks like it would be allot of fun at night. It is a bar but there is side for dinning so families could come in here also. If in the area stop in for a great meal!!!

It is a Great Place to see in vegas and tell everyone "I seen that on there TV show" if you want to get a good deal from a "real" pawn shop go across the street. This is a great place to see when in vegas but if you want to go to a pawn shop not so great. Grab a post card for a $1.50 for your fridge. I have been there and it will always be one of TJs Great Places.
