Great Black hills lodge friendly staff great clean rooms  ask for a room next to the new hot tub. Sit out side and soak while looking at George on Mount Rushmore  I was in 2108 like having your on hot rob in your room right out the door. It out side so very nice on a snowy spring night. Breakfast was perfect and fresh looking over the hills while injoying a variety of great items. Take the 20 min drive out of Rapid City and relax at this perfect lodge hotel

Sawmill inn Grand Rapids MN

OGrand Rapids MN has a great family run inn located on 169 just south of down town. The cedar Resturant is great great steaks to salads when you stay you get a free beverage at the bar when you eat   Hotel prices start at 59.00 standard room pool hot tub and a sauna. Older style hotel but clean and comfy  Pool side rooms not much more.  Sit down breakfast is included in your stay.  

I had the French onion soup a hardy style soup with a thick broth comes with 2 fresh hot pop overs. Desert was bread pudding with ice cream half order enough for 2. Don't drive by the sawmill inn worth the stay

Get the sausage patty made at local meat market. The pancakes overflow the platter. Heat prices and service. A gathering place in Ottertail co MN.  3 min off the free way downtown Fergus Falls

Minnestalgia wine jellies wild rice a great place for family or friends. Honey wine mead. Is served straight up or with your favorite hand picked northern berry. Next door get local honey jellies made from local Berrys  and wild rice in all combinations I picked up some great wild rice blueberry cereal  can't wate to try it. Lots of MN made gifts here also. Just north of mcgregor MN off hey 65

Great bakery with lots of fun bakery goods and coffee. This is a gathering spot or locals. Good luck finding a place to sit. At the intersection of 210 and hey 65. Pick up you treats for fishing or heading out on the trails. Not much for breakfast but they do have breakfast sammys. Worth the stop while in the area

School house cafe mcgregor mn

Wish I could have ate here sign said closed due to illness and for sale by owner. Only heard great things about this break fast lunch place in northern MN. Next time through hope every one is better and I I can give it a try
